Nature Photos

Took some pictures of a couple beautiful thistles along teh dirt road on the way to Lowes.
And then on the way back I grabbed this snapping turtle crossing the road so I took him home and snapped some pictures of him. What is it about dirt roads that make them so interesting? Is it because they are dirt and less imposing to the natural life? Or is it because they are in less accessible areas which tend to have more wildlife? Maybe its because we drive slower on the dirt and gravel. The stuff is still there on the paved roads, but the fauna tends to be rather flattened and we're just going to fast to see the flora! Wonder how much of life we miss because we're just going to fast? Okay, enough philosophy. Have a good Sunday tomorrow.
