Bear Island Canoe Trip

We had a good time paddling out to Bear Island and the kids (Devin, Kayla and Devin's friend Keenan) had a great time on the beach and in the water (they were in most of the time). Other than that it was hot, sweaty, salty and sand in everything!! I don't think I will make another canoe/camping trip in the summer to the beach. I'll be days getting the sand out of the tents, sleeping bags, cooking gear and my ears - GRIN.

Made some nasty tasting scrambled eggs for breakfast. They tasted like the ones we eat when I'm at sea and we call them "diesel eggs"!
