Just a Litle Slice of Port Life

Back when we were in port this is the view from the bow. Two concrete ships are tied up to the pier and unloading the concrete.

You can see in this picture the trailer truck at the bottom left getting loaded to haul the concrete bags away. This ship is also being unloaded using bulk (meaning loose) concrete trucks. The building on the side of the ship is the "bagger" where they bag the cement and that's what's being loaded on the trailer in the picture. Oh yeah, they can fit over 600 bags of concrete on a tractor trailer (nothing else to to - GRIN).

DEVIN/KAYLA: if the bags weight 80 lbs per bag and there are 650 of them on the truck, how much concrete is on each truck? How many tons is that? 1 ton=2,000 lbs.
Finally, this is the view out of my portal in my cabin. As you can tell my portal is facing towards the bow, because you can see the concrete ships tied up in front of us.
